A few years ago my niece asked me to officiate at her wedding. I applied and received my Certificate of Registration to perform Weddings from the Province of Manitoba. It has been my honor and privilege to perform a number of marriages over the past few years for family, friends and guest.
We have had couples book for a holiday and ask me to marry them while they were here. In those cases Stu and Krista have been witnesses for the bride and groom.
Couples have booked a weekend with a few friends and family for the wedding ( we can accommodate a maximum group of 16 including the bride and groom). Sunday the friends and relatives check out while the couple stays to enjoy a 5 night honeymoon with us.
There are some lovely restaurants in the Park and surrounding areas where you may wish to have a small reception; and we also could offer to arrange something intimate here in our Sitting room on the Lake. (max 16 persons)

It is truly a pleasure officiating at these ceremonies. I do not ask any payment for myself but I collect a donation made out to Cancer Care Manitoba. (This is my personal fund raising campaign.) You would receive a tax receipt. Marriage Commissioners fees range from $75-$125 for a wedding.
I cannot often offer to go to other locations for a wedding. If I am away from Inverness Falls I have to have someone working for me, here. But, I can offer the names of other, very competent, Marriage Commissioners who are able to travel to locations.
